Stupid stupid cliffhangers!!!!
Okay so I will say that I am glad I read the note from the author about this book before diving in or I may of never given the character Claire the chance because she was very naive. I would think for someone having such a hard time in life she would be colder, harder and less trusting but she jumped right in. I'm so curious though as to what Robert has done. I can tell he is shady and he has the dominating side to him but I know right now he is trying to play it down. Now enter cooper! Oh my goodness! That should be the man she is after and she is pushing at every turn. I want to scream at her and shake her and say listen just listen but that's not happening. Just when I think I'm getting somewhere... It's over. And it's left with a cliffhanger. Not the kind where you feel like you are teetering on edge but just where you wanna know what happens next. So now i am off to search for the next book.

Another great story by KA , I love all things by her so this was no different. Of course the storyline was different for her but as always there was some kick a$$ music and hot tatted up bad boy to shine a ray of light on the intense struggles going on throughout the story !!

Claire has been in the foster system for years and years , now 18 her latest family decides to kick her out. Struggling to survive without a place to live and a simple job not making much Claire does just that , she survives. Once found out by her employer and friends from work she accepts help and carries on trying to save and get out on her own. In walks Robert , at first I kind of thought ok older guy , gym buddy , maybe he will invite her out and she meets his kid and they end up in love... OK so I am not good at predicting things !!

Robert was sugar daddy extreme , the lonely widow wanting to do something for someone. Claire was the perfect person , she needed help , wanted to be loved and despite feeling uncomfortable accepting help she had nothing for so long it didn't take much to convince her to follow along with his plans. Of course things are never what they seem and we see a whole new side to people once they get what they want. In walks Cooper , the super hot 20 year old bitter son. His relationship with his dad is damaged beyond repair. His attitude towards clear is horrible until he finds out more about her. Then Cooper changes into the protective alpha male. Claire doesn't heed his warning and by now it is not a shock to how things end up.

A slight cliffy , lucky for me I have book 2 and can figure it out !!!!!!!!

Oh Claire what can I say, you my dear clearly need to get a clue! Claire grew up in foster homes, on her 18th birthday she comes home to find out that her foster dad has kicked her out. Having nowhere to go and no money she sleeps in her car behind the diner that she currently works at.

Then Claire meets Robert who is old enough to be her father. Yuck! He charms the hell out of her and after a month of being together she moves in with him. Now mind you Robert has money and I'm talking a lot of money. He gives her money, a car, & even quits her job for her. Yes you heard that right, he quits her job for her even though she made it clear she wanted to keep it. Red flag right there girlfriend.

Any who in the meantime Robert's son Cooper comes into the picture. Oh and let me just say that Cooper is 20 years old which is older than Claire who is only 18. Claire is attracted to Cooper but of course she doesn't want to ruin anything with Robert because he "saved" her. So Robert decides him and Claire should get married. Why does Robert want to marry an 18 year old girl who is broke, homeless and clearly naïve? Well Cooper tells us that part. He wants to control you and mold you into the wife he wants you to be! DUH Claire!

Now Robert's wife died I think a year before this and Cooper thinks his dad had something to do with that. So we find out some stuff and then BAM right at the end when Claire is leaving to go marry Robert, Cooper says he thinks his dad had his mom killed. Claire runs out of the house and off she goes to marry Robert. Or so we assume she's going to marry Robert, we really don't know because that's when the book ended.

AHHH!!! I absolutely love K.A. Robinson! I read all of her books and I'm never disappointed. When I read a preview of this one I thought, "Oh no, I can't do a young girl with a man old enough to be her father. It puts images in my head and I can't get them out and I get all creeped out by it." But I enjoyed this. I don't like how Claire is so naïve but I get why her character had to go there. The whole time I'm thinking, "Girl you got a hot guy around your age living in the same house as you and you're not jumping on that opportunity? Oh Lord!"

I'm ready for the next book because I have to see if Claire decides to get away from Robert and I'm gonna need for Claire and Cooper to get together! Just remind yourself that Claire isn't too bright. If you don't then you will be constantly wondering why the hell isn't she putting everything together and getting the hell out of there! It's definitely worth the read!
Wow, Wow and Wow,

I think I just found my new favorite K.A. Robinson book. I've always been a big fan of her work, but this one so far is my favorite. K.A. some major talent, Deception was so different and unique that I devoured this within a few hours. I couldn't put it down, it was impossible for me.

It was just such a well written book, and the story as well as the characters were well thought out. This title to this book definitely fit it perfectly.

Claire was such strong and independent young women. I also thought she was naïve, with the way she kept believing Robert's every word. But it was understandable due to the way she grew up, and was being treated from him.

Also Robert rubbed me off the wrong way from the beginning. "Every thing isn't what they seem to be." That's 100% true in this book.

And Cooper, man I loved Cooper. K.A. always writes the hottest guys.
I really enjoyed reading about his character. It was obvious he liked Claire, and was worried about her. I liked his determination for her, and his protectiveness towards her, I like his soft sides with her and was so cute with Shelly.

This book I have to say was very different and unique, and love the fact each book she writes comes with a certain topic and message. That her books comes with meanings.

So excited for the sequel. Highly recommends this.
