StepbyStep Publishing edition by Dianne L Durante Reference eBooks

Having devoured every conceivable Kindle formatting and publishing book available over the last many months, finally, the Eureka moment has been reached. There is a wealth of information out there attempting to guide aspiring authors through the minefield of Kindle formatting. Much of it is good and with the greatest of intentions. Many of the formatting books on Kindle naturally are the combination of the respective Author's sleepless nights and an all consuming desire to help others with, what at the outset, seems to be far too tricky for the average mortal.

Each of the many books on this riveting of subjects conveys elements of best practise, get it done fast or you'll be left behind and a sprinkling of geek speak. Sometimes the realm of Geekdom is enough to make a grown man weep. This book is different in the extreme. It's written by an accomplished author, professional copywriter, art historian with an eye for exceptional detail and an overwhelming desire not to leave anything out. This book is a masterpiece and should be the Gold standard for anyone who respects his or her readers; something which is sadly lacking with much of the Kindle catalogue.

This is an in-depth study of just how to do it right. It is however, quite technical throughout, requiring the reader to have some reasonable knowledge of basic word processor language and techniques. I would thoroughly recommend that the new Kindle Author read some of the shorter books on the subject to first get a feel for the complexity before tackling this brilliant book.

If I hadn't absorbed all the previous publications and formulated my own thoughts on the subject, I think Dianne's book would have been quite beyond me. As Kindle books go this has to be simply the best laid out, well written and informative book on the subject in my opinion. It's full of practical advice, easy to follow examples, with snippets of the Author's obvious sense of humour to lighten the journey.
For some inexplicable reason my own Kindle device went down as I prepared to buy this book so reverted to my P.C and commenced reading on the Amazon Cloud which I found very beneficial in handling the many "how to" examples that Dr Durante sprinkles liberally throughout. Being able to switch back and forth from the Text to an open Word document to practise the steps was invaluable.

I don't think I'll need to buy another Kindle formatting book and you won't either! Initially reading the first look inside sample before buying the book, it was obvious that this Author not only knew her stuff but was determined to write the definitive guide. This is a fantastic example of how one should approach your own publications on Kindle; promise a lot and deliver so much more. Outstanding!

StepbyStep Publishing edition by Dianne L Durante Reference eBooks Reviews

I took an expensive author course. The formatting instructions were inadequate, so I had to do extensive Google searches to solve some issues that came up with my first book. I read other books, which were better, but as I later learned, they did not answer all of the questions that come up in different situations.

I am currently working on a book that will include lots of images. The resources I had did not include the right information. When I went out to Google to look for solutions, I was led to this book.

Finally - finally - I have found a book that answers every formatting question I could ever anticipate having. The author is to be commended for her work. Buy this book. It's all you need to format books correctly. As a bonus, the author provides a downloadable Word template that has all of her recommended styles set up.

She provides a checklist of items that you should double-check before you publish, as well as very thorough instructions on uploading your book and how to send out copies for review. Some of this material I had never heard of before. It will be very helpful as I work in the future.

If every author read this book, a lot of the funky formatting problems we all see from time to time would be solved. Wouldn't that be awesome?
A very easy to follow, step by step guide to submitting your manuscript directly for publishing. I really enjoyed it.
This is an invaluable resource for self-publishers. The language is concise and clear, with a dash of humor to let you know she's been there too. I sped through the whole thing in one sitting, and am now going through it step by step, getting my own book ready for publication.

Revision I've just completed formatting and prepping my own book, and not only was the book a continuingly amazing resource, but the author herself is extremely approachable on email, responding quickly to any questions. I can't recommend this enough.
There are many books aimed at publishing on . I have sampled most of them, bought a few. None of the others was just right. Step-By-Step Publishing was exactly what I needed.

Diane Durante's free sample included an offer to email a template for Word Styles which would work with most devices. That template was worth the price of the book itself.

I bought the book on the strength of the template, and found that Diane's "step-by-step" instructions saved me all the time and effort of looking up the "how to's". Publishing with the help of this book was almost a no-brainer.

When I purchased this book, I was cautiously optimistic. Despite it being obsolete, I soon learned it was deficient. It had no reference or examples for Microsoft Word 2016 users. I expected more current and helpful formatting tips, but was disappointed. The author only discusses topics for Word 2002 and 2010 users. Technology is rapidly changing and it's hard to keep pace.

Furthermore, I contacted Dianne and submitted a formatting question but her customer response was poor. I will continue my quest for a more updated formatting book that meets my book publishing needs. Meanwhile, I hope the author updates this book and republishes it with fresh content that explains formatting, styles, and templates in the context of Microsoft Word 2016.
